Executives, Assurance, Banking and Capital Markets, Edinburgh

Rutherford Cross are recruiting for Executives for our Client’s Banking & Capital Markets (BCM) Assurance business. The successful qualified professional will be representing the biggest FS Assurance business unit in the UK. BCM provides broad range of assurance services including external audit to a wide range of both global and local BCM institutions.

Our Client’s broad suit of assurance solutions includes advice on the governance and controls around processes that do not directly impact the financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for contributing to the smooth delivery of solutions to clients
• Effectively manage the audit process with appropriate consideration of risk and regulations
• Demonstrate strong commercial awareness consisting of the latest industry knowledge and trends
• Work in high performing teams made up from across the FSO assurance space and beyond
• Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (UK GAAP or IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters
• Demonstrate expertise in using GAM to perform an assurance engagement in compliance with auditing standards
• Identify areas requiring improvement in the clients business processes and possible recommendations, preparing and delivering the Management Letter

Requirements:

• Degree qualified
• ACA/ACCA/CA (ICAEW, Irish Institute, or equivalent international qualification) - Preferably first time passes
• Relevant external audit experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly in Banking
• Proven experience in delivering external audit to a large scale organisation
