<p class="x_MsoBodyText">Decision Support Analyst £34 – 39k + benefits Edinburgh</p>
<p class="x_MsoBodyText">Rutherford Cross is seeking an ambitious commercial accountant who can act as an interface between finance and the business, providing meaningful financial analysis, support and challenge to a specific business area. You will be central to ensuring the financial plans to support business planning are completed and in providing financial analysis for business cases. There will be adhoc, project and process improvement work to undertake therefore we are encouraging individuals with a flair for “thinking outside the box” to apply.</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"><b>Responsibilities include:</b></p>
<ul>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Assist in providing financial support and challenge on current and future business areas including appropriate ledger forensic analysis to ensure accuracy, month end P&amp;L reviews and updating of Joint Management Committee papers for the relevant Product areas.  Attend product meetings and deputise for DSM.<b> </b></li>
<li class="x_MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">Support in the<b> </b>co-ordination of budgeting and forecasting process for designated products with a view to understanding key issues and opportunities through analysis of trends and other MI available and to deliver realistic and balanced outputs.</li>
<li class="x_MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">Support the mid-month flash, risks and opportunities and full year out turn projection processes</li>
<li class="x_MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">Scenario planning / financial analysis – maintain models to assist the business in measuring impact of changes to the budgeted balance sheet and P&amp;L positions.   Developing commercial insight to enhance robust scenario modelling and accurately prepare and present scenario output</li>
<li class="x_MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">Provide commercial support - review and provide challenge to business cases: covering aspects including pricing and costs recharges.</li>
<li class="x_MsoListParagraphCxSpLast">Relationship Management<b> - </b>act as a point of contact within finance for designated business areas.</li>
</ul>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"> <b>Requirements:   </b></p>
<ul>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">The jobholder must be a finalist  or newly qualified accountant ideally with practical experience of financial reporting and management accounting and have commercial experience.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Good communication skills both verbal &amp; presentation to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Excellent MS Excel.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Well organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail with an ability to think and reason logically.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Customer focussed team player with ability to work closely with others to deliver results.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Proven track record of working on own initiative, with the ability to introduce fresh thinking to the role and the wider team</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Strong relationship management skills</li>
