Description

Our client, an exciting global company in the technology sector, an award winner in the Top 100 Best Companies to Work, with a flexible approach to working, is currently in the market for a Credit Risk Manager, to manage the company’s overall financial risk and manage a small team. This an excellent opportunity to own and develop the end to end Sales Ledger and Credit Control processes globally and help shape how internal stakeholders are supported during a period of fast growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Set the direction for the Sales Ledger and Credit Control team and support the team to deliver operational excellence
  • Own the strategy and roadmap and be held accountable for delivery, while also contributing to and ensuring the team is in sync with company goals
  • Get the best out of your people, supporting 4 direct reports to develop and succeed
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Commercial to ensure the changing requirements of the business and partners are understood and the team are proactively looking at innovative solutions and processes to support this
  • Set the direction and support the team to develop and optimise approach to debtor risk management ensuring the company can scale ledger and debt collection operations
  • Lead the team to deliver global billing, accruals management and month end reporting and work with key stakeholders across the business to refine processes
  • Key member of the wider finance team working closely with colleagues across finance globally
  • Deliver other ad-hoc assignments to support global finance and the wider strategy

The Candidate

  • Someone with the drive and determination to succeed in a fast paced and ever-growing business
  • A strong people manager, with a proven track record of getting the best out of people and supporting others to succeed
  • A related qualification (e.g. credit control, professional accounting or risk) or qualified by experience
  • A strong grasp of the concepts of credit control and risk and experience of managing balance sheet debtor exposure
  • A proven ability to set goals and direction for a team and deliver against these
  • Experience in developing processes and controls whilst driving operational excellence in complex processes
  • Strong problem-solving and organisation skills, including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Willing to make decisions and assume accountability and responsibility
  • Be able to engage with and influence colleagues of all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to operate with different cultures on an international level in a dynamic working environment
  • Be willing to travel if required
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and ERP systems ideally SAGE Enterprise Management
