Description
Rutherford Cross is working with a leading business based in Glasgow to recruit for a Credit Risk Analyst. This role will be critical to supporting the organisation’s success in following policies and procedures which directly contribute to the reduction of credit risk to the organisation. This role will report into the Credit Control Manager and will sit within a busy and fast-paced Credit Control team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring policies and procedures which help reduce risk and meet risk management goals
- Evaluating and continual monitoring of active accounts to reduce or prevent bad debt losses
- Reviewing credit limits and credit limit excesses
- Contacting all customers deemed as High Risk and agreeing on an action plan to reduce the risk on the company
- Taking an active approach to being involved in recommending provisions on bad debts
- Helping to build a financial model that predicts credit risk to the group
- Ensuring company policy is regularly revied in line with feedback from various credit forums, the company’s credit checking provider and in line with the current economy / industry
- Providing statistics and reporting to confirm the credit policy is working well in line with the current economy
- Responsibility for ranking customers based on the risk factors identified
- Preparation of monthly performance and risk reports
- Becoming an active participant in Credit Forums / Industry led discussions
Candidate Key Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Key eye for data and analysis
- Strong communication and presentation skills
This role is based in Glasgow city centre and is office based. It offers great opportunities for growth within a busy finance team and a salary up to £28,000.
