Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with one of Scotland’s largest and most successful privately owned businesses to recruit a Credit Controller. You will be working within the operational finance team, reporting to the Accounting and Central Reporting Lead. You will be responsible for ownership of the Sales Ledger and Credit Control function for key client contracts.

Principal Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Ownership of Sales Ledger process, including regular billing & invoice financing
• Weekly Aged Debtors reporting that feeds into cashflow process
• Aged Debt management, including Credit Control & query resolution
• Ownership of Expenses process, including liaison with Payroll
• Bank postings and reconciliations management
• Ensuring all month-end tasks are completed to agreed schedule and relevant deadlines are met
• Building an understanding of the key contracts to support role effectiveness
• Maintaining control over balance sheet accounts
• Assisting with ad hoc / project work as required by the team

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a finance environment required
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with great attention to detail
• Good IT skills
• Experience in a high-volume transaction environment
• Ability to work in an evolving environment while managing multiple deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proactive approach to process improvement within team, including future opportunities from Microsoft 365
