Description

Rutherford Cross is partnered with a luxury fashion brand experiencing remarkable growth seeking to appoint a Finance Manager to oversee their journey as they expand from a boutique label to an international brand. The successful candidate will be a commercially savvy, self-motivated qualified accountant with a solid background in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and collaborating with non-financial stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to engage in high-value projects, interfacing with key decision-makers and the leadership team for maximum visibility.

The Role:

  • Ensure the firm receives effective accounting support
  • Keep the firm's ledgers current and reconciled regularly
  • Post monthly accounting entries accurately, with no significant errors
  • Generate and uphold monthly financial reports and reconciliations
  • Produce monthly management accounts for the Group
  • Prioritise debt management to optimise cash flow and review the Aged Debtor ledger
  • Supervise daily cash flow preparation
  • Oversee the annual audit
  • Prepare annual accounts and budgets for the Directors' review
  • Monitor the budget monthly, providing commentary as needed
  • Manage the purchase ledger process, including VAT return submission
  • Handle tax returns and CT returns for the wider group with the Group tax adviser
  • Assist with various ad-hoc finance-related projects
  • Continuously enhance finance procedures
  • Deliver timely, robust information to stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong communication and knowledge transfer abilities
  • Display highly developed organisational skills
  • Establish recognition as an expert in your field, with sector experience in retail, fashion and international trade being attractive, though not essential
  • Recognise and efficiently handle risks in your role, emphasising critical areas of concern for the firm and promptly escalating them up the chain of command when necessary

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Qualified Accountant - ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Commercial finance or FP&A background
  • Ability to interact, engage and influence senior stakeholders including non-financial individuals
  • Advanced user of Excel and strong modelling skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
