About The Job:
Neogen is seeking to recruit a Commercial Analyst. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused accountant to join a fast-paced, acquisitive and growing business. This role forms part of a newly created FP&A function which is likely to grow and evolve over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain monthly revenue and margin reporting; identify trends and variances to the budget
- Prepare product cost reports and support the analysis of product cost changes
- Support profitability analysis for products, customers and Business Units
- Support annual budget process
- Assist in driving improvements in existing reporting processes and tools
- Respond to ad hoc requests for data / information / analysis
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting across all businesses
- Support with other ad hoc projects across the wider finance team
The Individual:
For this position, Neogen is preferably looking to appoint an accountant with experience in a manufacturing business. Previous cost accounting or margin analysis exposure will also be highly advantageous.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Experience in product costing and gross margin analysis in a manufacturing environment
- Strong reporting skills with the ability to collect, organise and analyse significant amounts of data from multiple sources
- Strong Excel skills – confident user of Vlookups & pivots
- Experience working in a large-scale company environment is desirable
