Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnering with a highly successful FMCG business to appoint a Commercial Accountant.

The position of Commercial Accountant has been created in response to the continuing increase in demand for accurate and timely management information across the company.   The data produced will identify opportunities for growth and highlight business inefficiencies.

It is a highly visible role working closely with the Commercial Finance Manager, producing detailed analysis to contribute towards achieving profit and cash-flow targets. Given the exposure of the position, it is essential that an individual has the ability to build effective and robust working relationships with the commercial function.

An overview of core responsibilities includes:

• Produce weekly and monthly commercial performance information to identify and track key financial trends and to support commercial decision making
• Play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting processes
• Take a proactive approach in continually improving financial reporting
• Prepare cash-flow forecasts on a monthly basis
• Ensure that the budgeting and forecasting processes and are built on robust assumptions
• Provide analysis and insight on ad hoc financial planning projects and commercial decision making

Remuneration on offer:

• Up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
