Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnering with a growing private equity backed business on the outskirts of Glasgow.  The purpose of the role is to provide analysis which will support commercial decision making.  The post-holder will gain exposure to working with the CFO and directors across the business.  This opportunity is ideally suited to a newly qualified accountant or a finalist.

Duties will include:

• Prepare monthly commercial performance information to identify and track trends in profitability and follow up with operations and sales staff to understand variances
• Support the annual budgeting process and monthly sales and operational planning processes, ensuring  profitability assumptions are viable
• Provide Management accounting support for month end and budget process including cost centre reports, sales and gross margin analysis
• Involvement in developing, documenting and monitoring of internal controls
• Providing proactive decision support assistance to the Finance Director, Commercial Director, Chief Operating Officer
• Prepare regular monthly reports for our regional operations staff, highlighting key financial trends, performance against budget
