In this role you will be responsible for:

• The Capital Accountant will assist Senior Management, in particular the Major Projects Management Group, in the development and management of the Strategic Capital Plan and the monitoring of Live capital Projects
• Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register ensuring additions, disposals, revaluations and impairments are carried out accurately and in a timely manner
• Working with budget holders to develop and maintain equipment replacement schedules to support the strategic capital planning process
• Maintaining the Lease Register ensuring decisions are backed up by sound, clearly documented accounting rationale
• Maintaining “Right of Use Assets” and ensuring accounting adjustments are accurately recorded

To be successful in this role you will be:

• A qualified accountant
• An understanding of coordinating and managing capital budgets and leases
• The ability to understand the fixed asset and lease accounting
• Ability to liaise with a wide variety of individuals throughout the business
• Ability to effectively prioritise your workload to meet departmental and organisational deadlines and to manage competing priorities
