Background to the Opportunity
Rutherford Cross are delighted to be working with a leading Edinburgh-based company on an exclusive basis in search of a Business Analyst.
The Business Analyst to join our client's Head Office Team on a permanent basis, reporting directly to the company Chief Executive Officer.
Our client is a leading provider of airfreight services with a presence in over 25 locations and over 100 global markets.
The Role
The position requires an individual with a global outlook who will be supporting the business globally on strategic market analysis, acquisition analysis and by reviewing internal business processes.
Reporting directly to the company CEO, this role offers the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the company and drive growth strategies.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Analysis of existing trade lanes and identification of additional opportunities
- Analysis of current market competition
- Review current business processes and provide global improvement
- Identify and research potential acquisition targets
- Support contract negotiation and preparation of business cases with the provision of relevant market data
- Provide strategic direction
- Create a pricing policy to improve margins and develop a unit cost model specific to each region
- Develop an innovative franchise model
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in compiling and analysing high volume data and converting into a business case
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
- Critical thinker
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to the needs of the business
Preferred
- Experience in airfreight, ocean freight or logistics
Remuneration
Salary: up to £50,000 + car allowance
