Description
Business Analyst £45-55k (12 month FTC) Edinburgh
A rare opportunity for a talented Senior Business Analyst to take on an exciting challenge with a large change programme with a major divestment project. As Senior Business Analyst, you'll be playing a crucial role in facilitating the transition of business processes and have a platform to demonstrate your analytic expertise, as you help deliver effectively and responsibly on a high profile project, which is essential to the business' future.
The role involves:
- Playing an integral part to the procedural transition and testing and ensuring that all processes and procedures are accurately recorded, with all hand ins and hand offs, agreed and registered, following both early and final-stage testing.
- Monitoring key business processes that will have to move through various stages of separation, ensuring that they are fully documented, tested and fit for purpose.
- Manage the analysis of cross divisional data, to ensure migration needs are accurately recorded and understood
- Building productive relationships with key stakeholders from a range of business areas, in order to design and deliver the successful testing, which will underlie the overall security and success of this project.
In the course of your work you'll be:
assisting the finance team with linkage to test conditions and test design
supporting analysis and understanding of test outputs through all testing environments, and feeding your findings into final stage preparation and testing
identifying and escalating risks and issues, taking corrective action as required, and consulting with senior managers and stakeholders. We're looking for an experienced and adaptable Business Analyst, with the ability to astutely grasp a project's requirements and contribute effectively to its successful delivery. Ideally you'll have knowledge gained in a financial services context, and be able to draw on experience of working in an integrated test environment. A qualification in Business Analysis would be an advantage, but it's not an essential requirement. What matters is that you possess the enthusiasm, core skills and experiences to make a real contribution to the success of the project.
Experience:
- Process modelling and the ability to draw upon knowledge of project management methodologies, including documentation standards, risk modelling, change controls, quality frameworks and compliance.
- Experience of working with SQL would be an advantage.
- Be an excellent communicator, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely, and to build trusting relationships with a range of colleagues and stakeholders.
