Audit Manager

A major retail banking organisation situated in Edinburgh are looking to employ an Audit Manager within a technology function on a permanent basis. This exciting opportunity will come with an excellent salary/benefits package.

You’ll work with the Senior Audit Manager and business stakeholders to scope out audits, developing your understanding of the business’ key risks and controls, formulating an appropriate and robust testing plan, before leading your engagement team in its execution.

Responsibilities:

• Manage your team’s work and resources, setting standards of excellence.
• Deliver audits which are of a complex nature on time and to budget.
• Lead the production of high quality written reports which detail any issues identified.
• Contribute to managing the discussion with key business stakeholders leading to final issue acceptance and remediation.

Skills/Experience:

• Strong, established internal auditor with a thorough grounding in risk management principles and a background in technology audit (ideally payments technology although not essential).
• Successfully led a team in delivering complex projects – audit or otherwise – while keeping a firm hand on budget, schedule and quality.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are integral to this role.
• Qualified accountant – Big 4 trained CA is preferred.
• Financial Services experience is highly advantageous.
