Assistant Tax Manager / Manager – In-house, Financial Services

£40-£55K dependent on experience

An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join a high quality in-house tax team in this leading financial services organisation headquartered in Central Edinburgh.  Ideally suited to a qualified CA/CTA/ATT with excellent UK corporate tax knowledge.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of a corporate tax reporting and compliance service to the business.  This will require:

Managing the corporate tax compliance requirements for a number of funds

Reviewing and overseeing tax provisions and disclosures prepared by the Fund Reporting team

Assisting in meeting the corporation tax compliance and provisioning requirements for the business

Monitoring and managing the impact of tax on investment returns

Working with other members on ad hoc projects and technical issues

Improving tax related controls and processes

The role will require the individual to develop strong working relationships with external suppliers and advisors to ensure the provision of a high quality tax service to the funds and the business more generally. Excellent problem solving, analysis and communication skills are essential.
