Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a PE-backed business to appoint an Assistant Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or QBE accountant to develop their skill set and add value to a growing business. The role of the Assistant Financial Accountant is to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis to assist in the delivery of business profitability and growth.
Ideally, this role would suit a part qualified / QBE accountant with a proven track record in working collaboratively with the wider team to prepare monthly financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary systems
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial results and the creation of financial statements
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and provide insightful analysis
- Support the annual budget creation process and manage intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset registers and perform month-end processes
- Partner with cost centre managers, responding to information requests and supporting financial decision-making
- Ensure adherence to all relevant company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Part-qualified accountant (AAT level 3 or above) or qualified by experience
- 3+ years in financial accounting or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Navision, SAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong communication skills
Remuneration:
- Up to £35k - study support available for the right candidate
