Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established, multi-entity organisation with a strong heritage and a forward-thinking approach. This role sits within a small, collaborative finance team and offers exposure to both Head Office and divisional operations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations, including transactional processing, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management. This is a varied and hands-on role where your contribution will be visible and valued, with significant scope to broaden your experience and develop within the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management reporting for Head Office and divisional entities
• Prepare monthly group recharges and inter-company loan calculations
• Process day-to-day banking transactions and prepare weekly cash reports
• Manage purchase and sales ledger processes for multiple entities
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Provide occasional administrative support to Head Office
• Undertake general ad-hoc finance duties as required

 

About You

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment

  • Salary: £28,000 - £32,000
  • Pension: 7.5% employer contribution
