Description

Rutherford Cross is supporting a global business in a period of consistent, high growth to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This role plays a key role in the accounting function and will be reporting to the Management Accounts Manager.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and posting month-end journals
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and escalating variances as required
  • Performing variance analysis and commentary as required
  • Assisting in preparing internal and external reports
  • Liaising with the off-shore processing team to control the posting of month-end journal transactions and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensuring SOX requirements are fully met
  • Responsibility for payment of accounts payable and bank transactional activity
  • Ensuring all parts of the business you are accountable for demonstrably complies with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and the companies’ values

This role is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong priority management, the ability to work to tight deadlines, and attention to detail. On offer is a salary of circa £25,000, hybrid working, and opportunity for development and progression. The role will either suit an experienced accounts assistant who has worked in a larger, complex environment or a part qualified accountant looking to build on their experience.
