Description
Rutherford Cross is supporting a leading manufacturer based in South Glasgow to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a 6-month contract basis with the opportunity of becoming permanent. This role will report into the Purchase Ledger Manager and will make a direct contribution towards the financial success of the company.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Primarily matching, coding and processing high volume of purchase and expense invoices
- Liaising with Depot Managers and colleagues across the business via phone and email
- Investigating and resolving Purchase Ledger queries as required
- Processing journals for direct debit payments and weekly payments
- Posting payments to customer accounts
- Other ad hoc duties to support a busy accounts office
Key Skills:
- Experience of working in a purchase ledger / sales ledger function
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to cope with high volume workload and working to deadlines
- Strength working alone or alongside a team
- Good IT Skills – knowledge of Excel / Outlook essential
