Rutherford Cross are working with an innovative business based north of Glasgow who are requiring a Cost Accountant to join their team for a period of 6 months and there is an opportunity for the role to also go permanent. Working as part of an established finance function you will be involved in managing the costing of the products for the business, ensuring effective financial management and reporting. Key duties will include:

·         Analysis of cost of production

·         Analysis of stock/inventory

·         Ensuring financial rigour around reporting on costs

·         Working to tight timescales

·         Supporting management with the costing of projects

·         Producing kpi reports – extensive use of excel

This role will suit a qualified or ‘qualified by experience’ accountant ideally having previously held the role of Cost Accountant. Experience in product/job costing will be useful and the ability to accurately analyse and interpret cost information. As it is an interim position the role will start asap.
