Management Information Manager £40-45k Edinburgh
Rutherford Cross has a fantastic opportunity to own and drive forward a very varied role for a small growing company which is regulated by the FSA and PRA. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role is a wide-ranging and critical role, requiring a good knowledge of the business, which influences business decisions and positively contributes to the success of the company through the provision of accurate and meaningful information and analysis, and by contributing to company policy and Senior Management discussions on Financial Risk Management.
Key aspects of the role:
- Financial Risk Management
- Society subject-matter-expert on Asset & Liability reporting, providing accurate and meaningful Financial Risk Management information to the Board and to Senior Management.
- Membership of Management ALCO, contributing to Committee decision making re the management of liquidity risk, interest rate risk, counterparty credit risk and the Society pricing of products.
- Continuous improvement of Financial Risk reporting.
- Input to the Society’s Financial Risk Management Policies.
- Regulatory Reporting
- Preparation and submission of Regulatory Reporting returns, including all COREP and remaining ‘FSA’ returns.
- Discussion with the Regulator in regard to any queries arising on regulatory returns.
- Manage delivery of new regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. additional COREP returns, Liquidity Coverage Ratio, NSFR, etc.), ensuring that the requirements are understood, that the relevant data is appropriately sourced and that a process is embedded for ongoing completion of regulatory returns.
- Finance Systems
- Use knowledge of systems and core-data to ensure that the optimal use of finance systems is being made to provide Regulatory Reporting outputs and meaningful Management Information to, and across, the business.
- Be the primary point of contact with third party system suppliers and IT
- Ensure that information is consistent across all finance systems
- Finance Projects
- Implementation and embedding of data warehouse, including review of data provided from elsewhere to ensure the occurrences of duplicate data processes and/or production of non-value adding reports is minimised.
- Responsibility for accounting standards changes.
- Primary lead contact in Finance for the implementation of other regulatory or company driven projects
- Planning and Forecasting
- Provision, and ongoing development, of forward looking financial risk information, including liquidity stress testing, fixed rate lending exposures and cashflow / liquidity forecasting.
- Preparation of capital stress testing for ICAAP purposes.
- Use of system to support Corporate Plan financial projections in terms of balance sheet and margin movements.
