Mary’s Meals provides one good meal to some of the world’s poorest children in a place of education every school day and are now feeding over 1 million children. Due to continued growth within the Charity they are looking to recruit a Part Time Financial Accountant within their Glasgow Head Office. Reporting to the Head of Finance & Operations within Mary’s Meals UK the postholder will be responsible for:
- Maintenance of accurate financial records and the integrity of the accounting systems
- Compliance with regulatory requirements with regards to accounting records and reporting
- Leading, managing and coaching the Finance team which includes 2 staff
- Overseeing cash management of bank accounts in several currencies
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Production of annual accounts in line with UK Charity SORP, liaising with external auditors
- Working closely with Senior Management in relation to Financial Planning and Decision Support
- Budgetary monitoring and variance analysis, presenting clear explanations to key stakeholders
- Co-ordination of monthly payroll processes
- Developing and maintaining a good working relationship with the Mary’s Meals International Finance team

This position is for 22.5 hours per week either over 3 days or 4/5 shorter days. Salary up to £33,638 per annum pro-rata plus benefits.
