Interim Financial Controller job with our large Service Sector client based in Glasgow to cover a secondment for a 9 month period. Reporting directly to the Finance Director you will be responsible for:

• Effective day to day running of a busy Finance Department
• Preparation of monthly management accounts including profit & loss and balance sheet accounts
• Presentation at monthly senior managers meetings
• Providing supervision and leadership of the finance team of 30 staff
• Co-ordinate staff development and undertake regular 1 to 1’s
• Provision of monthly budget monitoring reports with analysis of variances
• All aspects of tax compliance including Corporation Tax, VAT and employee related taxes
• Working capital management
• Cash flow management
• Continuous review of business processes
• Preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with external auditors

To apply it is essential you are a CCAB Qualified Accountant with a track record of leading a large Finance function. You will have first class communication skills and have a proactive approach to managing staff. Ideally you will have a background in Manufacturing, Logistics or FMCG. Target start date 22nd September 2014. Salary up to £60,000 per annum.
