Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a Glasgow based organisation with the appointment of a Finance Systems Implementation Lead for a 12-month period.

The successful candidate will drive the development and optimisation of the organisations finance systems and processes, with a particular focus on delivering a new payroll solution and maximising the functionality of its current finance software.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll System Implementation:

  • Lead the selection and implementation of a new payroll system in partnership with Finance and HR
  • Evaluate solutions and make recommendations based on functionality, compliance, integration, usability and cost
  • Manage the full project lifecycle including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, data migration, go-live and post-implementation review
  • Develop robust payroll processes, controls and documentation, ensuring compliance, data integrity and effective system integration
  • Drive payroll process improvements through automation and system integration

Finance Systems Development:

  • Lead the ongoing development and optimisation of the finance system to enhance reporting, budgeting, forecasting and user self-service
  • Translate business requirements into practical systems and process improvements
  • Work with software providers and IT partners to deliver enhancements, resolve issues and improve user experience
  • Ensure appropriate testing and controls are in place for system changes

Process Improvement & Data:

  • Review and streamline finance processes to improve efficiency, scalability and data quality
  • Lead data validation, reconciliation and migration activities as required

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering:

  • Build strong relationships with budget holders and key stakeholders across the organisation to understand operational requirements, challenges and reporting needs

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ Accountant
  • Experience implementing, developing or embedding financial management systems
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into practical system and process solutions
  • Proven ability to implement change and engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Available within 4 weeks’ notice
