Description

Rutherford Cross is working with an established and growing group to appoint a Group Management Accountant to play a key role in delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting across a multi-entity environment.

This is a high‑impact position offering excellent exposure to senior leadership, involvement in acquisitions, and the chance to contribute to ongoing process and systems improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Group reporting & consolidation

  • Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Produce board reporting packs with commentary on performance vs budget and prior year
  • Deliver KPI reporting aligned with investor and commercial requirements

Budgeting & forecasting

  • Coordinate annual budgeting process across all entities
  • Prepare quarterly reforecasts
  • Develop scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling to support strategic decisions

Cash management

  • Responsible for cash management including the credit control function
  • Prepare 3-month rolling cash flow forecasts and cash reports for board pack

Controls & process improvement

  • Work with Group FC to strengthen financial controls across the group
  • Standardise reporting formats and improve reporting timelines
  • Drive improvements in systems, automation, and reporting efficiency
  • Support year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.

Acquisitions & integration

  • Support target financial due diligence processes as required
  • Assist in onboarding newly acquired entities into group reporting structures
  • Harmonise accounting policies, reporting timetables, and financial controls post-acquisition
  • Understanding and recording revenue and cost synergies of acquisitions

About You

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong management accounting and consolidation experience. You’ll bring excellent technical accounting knowledge, strong Excel capability, and the confidence to communicate clearly across the business. A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset will be essential, as the role offers significant scope to help develop processes and systems as the group continues to grow.
