Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnered with a drinks manufacturing company in Greater Glasgow to appoint an AP Leader.
Role Purpose:
As the AP Leader, you will lead the group’s AP Shared Services function. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the global business by overseeing the end-to-end process of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) for Accounts Payable and Non-Stock Purchase Ordering. Your goal is to promote a centre of excellence in financial operations, ensuring seamless and efficient transactions that mirror the quality and precision of the world-renowned whiskies that our client produces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivate and lead the Group's AP Shared Services function, fostering an inclusive culture that thrives on change
- Drive process improvements, efficiency gains and automation initiatives within the shared services function
- Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and business units
- Develop and implement policies, procedures and controls to enhance the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and excellence within the finance shared service function
- Take charge of the processing and payment of the Group's supplier invoices, adhering diligently to documented processes and controls and minimising risks
- Own the Accounts Payable module within IFS, ensuring meticulous housekeeping aligned with Internal Audit recommendations. Manage supplier master data entry, upholding robust controls
- Scope, plan and embed new company integrations or legislative changes into business-as-usual operations
- Drive monthly internal reporting, ensuring the completion of month-end financial processes, reconciliations, analysis and production of KPIs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven leadership experience in a similar global shared services environment
- Extensive knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes, particularly in Accounts Payable and Non-Stock Purchase Ordering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and automation initiatives
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
