Rutherford Cross is partnered with a thriving services business located in the centre of Edinburgh in their search for a Finance Admin. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the daily financial operations of the company, playing an important role in the bookkeeping and financial administration functions.
As a Finance Admin, you'll enjoy a multifaceted role, handling various financial tasks such as Sales Ledger management, Credit Control, VAT processing, and more. You'll have the chance to broaden your skillset and deepen your financial expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Ledger: Responsible for drafting sales invoices in Excel and recording them on Sage 200, ensuring the smooth flow of financial transactions
- Credit Control: Manage and coordinate the approval of invoices and preparation of payment runs, making a significant impact on cash flow management
- Banking and Reconciliation: Handle weekly downloads, monthly reconciliations, deposits, authorised signatory/mandates and loan documentation
- VAT Expertise: Prepare and submit returns via MTD (Making Tax Digital), demonstrating your proficiency in taxation matters
- Expense Processing: Efficiently process and pay staff expenses fortnightly, arranging recharges to SPV’s
Candidate Qualities and Qualifications:
Transactional Finance Experience: Ideal candidates will have a background in transactional finance, working within a similar role or specialising in either sales or purchase ledger. They will also have good excel skills and teamworking experience.
