Background to the Opportunity
The opportunity has arisen for a Finance Operations Manager to join our client’s Finance Team. It is a temporary role working with a well-known Charity the city centre of Edinburgh. Interviews to be held in the first week in February.
The Role:
Working to promote our core values, the Finance Operations Manager will lead a dynamic team to deliver an effective finance and payroll service which supports managers and staff across the business. Ensuring that all required financial reporting is produced for statutory and management purposes through efficient and robust working practices. This role will be instrumental in modernising the finance and payroll operations within the business which contribute significantly to the objectives of the business plan to be delivered effectively.
Main Tasks:
- Management accounts and reporting
- Financial Accounting and Audit
- Payroll
- Financial Governance
- Leadership, management and development of finance team:
- General financial management activities
- Other operational duties
Experience Required:
- Qualified with 3 years demonstrable management experience or Qualified by experience with 15 years demonstrable experience of Finance, payroll and management relative to the responsibilities of this post
- Evidence of relevant, continued an up to date CPD
- Extensive knowledge and experience of payroll and charity sector accounting
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a finance and payroll team
- Experience in leading the process for and the preparation of statutory and management accounts in accordance with UK GAAP or IFRS
