Rutherford Cross’s client is looking for Audit Managers to join our client’s public-sector team based in Central Scotland. This hire is due to continued growth across our client’s Assurance practice.

As an experienced Audit Manager, your main aim will be to provide an independent view on their clients’ compliance with accounting principles. By doing so, you play an important role in helping businesses reflect their financial picture accurately, which in turn protects financial markets.
The nature and extent of their client-base and locations throughout the UK & Ireland means you will work on a portfolio that will reflect your existing experience and your future potential. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on providing services to help your clients respond to regulatory reforms, manage their capital life-cycle and improve their business operations. What you will do:
- Deliver value to the client by providing knowledge, ideas and solutions for improving the business, whilst assessing legal implications
- Secure and enhance relationships with senior client management
- Assign teams that will meet and exceed the clients' expectations in standards of service and client care
- Develop and maintain an appropriate external network of business contacts
- Demonstrate professionalism and competence in all interactions with the client
- Ensure engagements are executed in accordance with the firm's methodologies and guidance, professional standards, and local legal and regulatory requirements
- Ensure the technical correctness and presentational standard of all client deliverables
- Approve engagement budgets and agree fees, where appropriate
- Lead and coordinate the planning and management of assignments in an effective and efficient manner
- Manage the delivery of other services to designated clients, where appropriate
- Liaise with other service lines and other audit managers to ensure efficient utilisation of knowledge and resources to deliver services

We are looking for the candidates with the following:
- Experience – 2-3 years post qualification experience or equivalent
- Qualification - Internationally recognised qualification i.e. ACA, CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
- Current External Audit experience at Manager level
- Detailed UKGAAP and IFRS experience
