Private Capital Tax Assistant Manager | Glasgow

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a leading UK professional services firm in the search for a Private Capital Tax Assistant Manager to join its growing team in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified tax professional to work with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed companies and larger corporate groups across a broad range of compliance and advisory matters.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will manage your own client portfolio, oversee corporate tax compliance requirements and support the delivery of a wide variety of advisory projects. The role offers significant exposure to clients, opportunities to build long-term relationships and the chance to contribute to the continued growth of a high-performing tax practice.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients across a variety of sectors
  • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax compliance work
  • Supporting the delivery of advisory assignments, including transactions and financing projects
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Supervising and developing junior team members
  • Working closely with Partners and Directors on complex client matters
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance client service and support business development initiatives

To be considered, you should:

  • Hold a professional qualification such as ACA, ATT or CTA
  • Have experience working within a corporate tax environment
  • Possess a strong understanding of UK corporation tax legislation
  • Demonstrate experience managing client relationships and tax compliance portfolios
  • Be an effective communicator with strong organisational skills and commercial awareness
