Interim Systems Accountant
Scottish Central Belt | 6 Month Contract | Inside IR35
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Systems Accountant to join a large, complex public sector organisation on an initial 6-month contract.
This is a highly visible role sitting within the finance function, focused on driving finance systems optimisation, automation and reporting improvements. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between finance and technology, helping to shape how finance operates through improved systems, enhanced reporting and better use of data.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading finance systems improvement and automation initiatives
- Supporting system upgrades, integrations and development projects
- Acting as the subject matter expert for ERP and finance systems
- Developing insightful reporting and dashboards using Power BI and Dynamics 365
- Delivering user training and supporting change management activity
- Ensuring robust governance, controls and documentation around system enhancements
- Working closely with finance, IT and senior stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
