Rutherford Cross is delighted to exclusively partner with a well-known FMCG brand to appoint a newly created Senior Financial Accountant role. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working within the group finance team, the role will be responsible for supporting the preparation of the group financial statements, ensuring accuracy is achieved through adherence to robust financial control framework including process creation, monitoring and refinement, financial review, and reconciliations.

This opportunity has been created following a significant acquisition. Our client has experienced substantial growth in recent years, with double-digit year-on-year revenue increases since 2019. Therefore, this represents an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful business, in a role that offers a pathway to a more senior role and significant development opportunities.

Ideally, we are seeking to engage with newly/recently qualified individuals from the profession, or alternatively those already in industry either through an industry grad scheme or an initial move from the profession. Due to the technical focus of this role, we are looking to engage with ICAS/ACCA qualified individuals only.

Key Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts
• Reviewing and posting accruals and prepayments
• Balance sheet analysis and reconciliations
• Group consolidation
• Monthly VAT returns
• Key contact for group audit and tax requirements
• Responsible for producing budgets for their areas in the group
• Group cashflow development and reporting
• Developing and documenting controls and processes
• Reviewing and maintaining Fixed Asset registers
• Managing and reviewing Hire Purchase
• Working with key stakeholders across all areas of the group
