Rutherford Cross is delighted to collaborate with a large industrial company seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join their team. This position is ideal for a qualified accountant with excellent communication and numerical skills, who can build strong relationships, manage month-end project deliverables, and oversee line management.

Key duties include:

• Foster strong, supportive relationships with the leadership team, providing regular project controls, reporting, and variance analysis
• Oversee the month-end process by managing all related deliverables, including key revenue recognition calculations, ensuring timely and high-quality completion
• Conduct monthly reviews with operational teams to discuss project performance, offering insights and addressing any concerns
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for projects and regularly review them with relevant stakeholders
• Manage financial forecasts and budgets, including rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and ad hoc projections
• Contribute to cash management reporting and weekly forecasting
• Provide line management for a team member
• Handle various tasks to support a dynamic and growing organization

Experience required:

• Qualified accountant
• Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering clear and concise financial messages
• Strong ability to build effective stakeholder relationships across the organization.
• Proficient in numeric and analytical tasks, with advanced Excel skills for data manipulation.
• Experience in project accounting, particularly in property, construction, or engineering environments with long-term contracts, would be beneficial
