Interim Finance Officer job with a Glasgow-based organisation for an initial 2-3-month period.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the preparation of quarterly management accounts and annual accounts
- Supporting with the preparation of budget and long-term projections
- Maintaining the nominal ledger, including transaction postings
- Preparing control account reconciliations, particularly bank and rent
- Maintaining VAT records and submitting VAT returns
- Monitoring cash flow
- Ensuring invoices are paid timeously in accordance with contractual terms
- Issuing invoices to owners and debtors to maximise income
- Administer payroll arrangements in conjunction with the payroll provider and Finance Manager
- Assisting in the preparation of budget and long-term projections
- Supporting with the completion of internal and external audits
To apply, you will be a Part Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ Accountant with at least 3 years of experience in a ‘hands-on’ finance function. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role with an understanding of financial regulations and best practice. Good Excel skills and knowledge of accounting systems are essential for this role. Our client is looking for a candidate with strong communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to prioritise their workload effectively.
