Description
Rutherford Cross is working with a central Glasgow based organisation to recruit for a Group Reporting Accountant. Reporting into the Financial Controller, this is an essential role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations for the Group. This role will give broad exposure to financial reporting and management accounting and will have a lot of exposure to senior management. A summary of some of the key duties will include:
- Prepare Quarterly Investor Reporting Pack which includes a consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet for the Group
- Prepare of year end statutory accounts in line with IFRS & UK GAAP
- Project manage the external audit process and be the key point of contact for the auditors
- Assist on direct tax compliance
- Assist in the preparation of month end management accounts including ownership of central platform including central recharges
- Balance sheet substantiation and key controls
- Manage and involvement in internal audit process
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Assist with ongoing change management initiatives
- Work with the Head of Finance and Financial Controller to assist with M&A work
- Ad-Hoc Duties
For this role, the organisation is seeking a fully qualified accountant with a strong technical grounding, ideally coming from an audit background, with strong IFRS/UKG GAAP. The role will have regular interaction with both financial and non-financial stakeholders and will require tight deadlines to be met with reporting. Ideally the appointed candidate will also have Group Reporting experience and have had some exposure to modelling.
