The Role
The Head of Commercial Finance sits on the Senior Management Team and provides best practice financial management and decision support to the commercial function. This involves optimising business plan performance, actively influencing commercial investment and expenditure to accelerate growth, building brand equity and enhancing profitability. As "number two" to the Finance Director and working closely with the Commercial Director, the role drives the development and adoption of industry leading practices and processes whilst at all times maintaining best in class independent financial stewardship.
This is a high profile role, both internally and externally, requiring strong leadership, decision making and an ability to communicate at all levels.
The Individual
You are known for being exceptional; for being both dynamic and highly commercial, hands on, relentless in your pursuit of excellence and for delivering success in everything you do. You are an engaging individual, capable of inspiring direct reports and engendering confidence from stakeholders across the business.
You will be a graduate and fully qualified accountant with circa 10-15 years’ experience post qualified experience. You will possess a proven track record in a commercially focused finance role with close working relationship to the businesses’ commercial function. Experience operating in a leading consumer facing business is highly desirable, especially if this involves exposure to the UK retail environment.
