Financial Analyst, Glasgow, £40,000 - £45,000

Our client is a global market leader which is undergoing an exciting period of expansion. This new position has been created to be an integral part of the Financial Analysis Team which supports the CFO on key commercial decisions.

The primary focus of the role is to analyse and present the monthly results to the senior management team. This involves liaison with stakeholders across the business to understand the underlying results and key commercial drivers.

Main responsibilities include:

• Supporting the senior management team, providing monthly analysis and commentary on the monthly operating results. This includes identifying and explaining variances
• Leading the preparation of the annual statutory process, assuring filings are accurate and completed on-time
• Consolidation and analysis of the corporate plan
• Maintaining the cash flow and capital plan
• Supporting finance team through a broad number of project initiatives

Personal Profile:

• Qualified accountant preferably with some experience in an industry role
• Financial analysis skills with the ability to take the initiative in developing a strong understanding of the underlying business. This will include the ability to challenge results and communicate clearly the analysis to the relevant stakeholders
• Strong reporting and analytical skills with ability to create and improve reporting packs and methodologies
• Results oriented individual with a drive for continuous improvement and proven success in achieving goals
• Ability to juggle priorities and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
• Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, good at building effective relationships and gaining trust and respect
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good excel skills and some experience of ERP systems would be advantageous.
