Our client is a leading service organisation with operations across the UK. Due to an internal restructure, they are seeking an Assistant Financial Planning Analyst to be based in Glasgow and support operations across Scotland.
This role will directly report into the Financial Planning & Analyst but will also collaboratively engage with Business Finance Managers to ensure that business plans are correctly translated and provide relevant financial support to the Operational Managers. To be successful you need to be a high calibre individual who can establish strong effective working relationships with colleagues across the various divisions.
The main responsibilities include:
- Support production of deliverables of the financial planning processes: 5 year plan, budget and quarterly forecast
- Support production of weekly financial and non-financial KPIs
- Support production of monthly reporting deliverables
- Produce and maintain budgets and forecast input models
- Ownership for production and reporting for weekly, monthly and planning processes for their key P&L area of responsibility area ensuring engagement with necessary operational expertis
- Supporting and ensuring that all deadlines are met
- Input of accurate P&L, balance sheet and non-financial data into systems using standard models for budget, forecast and actuals
- Provide FP&A cover across the Region
- Involvement in ad hoc projects where appropriate
- Work with the team to ensure route profitability is completed in line with agreed deadline.
A summary of key individual requirements are as follows:
- Experience of working in a finance analysis, reporting, or management accounting role
- Actively studying towards accountancy qualification (CIMA, CA or ACCA)
- Familiar with working across multiple levels of a business
- Ability to adhere to tight deadlines & thrive under pressure
- High level of organisational and time management skills to deliver robust, accurate financial data and information
- Reliable and resilient with ability to thrive in a dynamic & changing environment
- Effective and confident communication and presentation skills
- Able to engage with both non-finance and finance colleagues
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent excel skills
- Experience of working in a large organisation would be desirable
- Flexible to travel across the region as required
