Audit Manager, Conduct Risk £50k + excellent benefits

Rutherford Cross have a great opportunity for an Audit Manager (Conduct Risk) to join a leading financial services company based in Edinburgh who are going through a period of transformation.

The role of Audit Manager (Conduct Risk) plays a vital role within the Internal Audit team and works closely with the Senior Audit Manager to provide independent assurance to the Executive Management Team. The role sits within the third line of defence and provides independent, objective testing and assurance to stakeholders.

Joining an experienced team of professionals, the successful individual will also be responsible for:

  • Supporting the engagement assurance planning, ensuring coverage of all key risks, complying with regulatory requirements for Internal Audit, and deploying resources to best use.
  • Leading and undertake key aspects of the assurance fieldwork, taking responsibility for the work undertaken by the team being delivered on time, fit for purpose and providing reliable evidence to support issues and opinions.
  • Understanding the purpose of the audit plan
  • Delivering audit engagements using tools and resources appropriately.
  • Managing the costs incurred within the engagement.

We are looking for candidates to have a:

  • Specific and detailed understanding of Conduct risk within a complex, global and diverse financial services organisation.
  • Detailed audit, risk and control knowledge gained through previous audit experience or in a compliance role.
  • Clear understanding of the existing regulatory environment and forthcoming regulatory developments and the likely impact of regulations and regulatory change on the bank and on audit.
  • Proven competence to deliver projects on time and to budget.
  • An ability to actively identify and help develop talent.
