Temporary Cost Accountant

Temporary Cost Accountant job with our client based in Glasgow for an initial 3 month period. The post reports to the Finance Manager and you will be responsible for:

• Reporting on the cost of production
• Analysis of labour costs and bills of materials
• Margin and profitability analysis
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Preparation of month end reports including Capital Assets
• Development of reporting tools to allow effective reporting to Operational Managers
• Developing financial models to allow accurate forecasting
• Budgetary monitoring, reporting and variance analysis
• Liaising and providing guidance to operational managers

To apply you will either be a Qualified or Qualified by Experience Cost Accountant, ideally with a track record of previously undertaking a hands on Cost Accounting role. You will have first class communication skills and will also be an Advanced Excel user. This role will require very close working with the operational side of the business. Salary £40,000 - £50,000 per annum.
