Within Scotland the FMCG sector has been the cornerstone for the economy and has reported continuous growth over the years. Rutherford Cross has been engaged to recruit an Internal Auditor within this sector for a highly regarded organisation that is a commonly known brand across the world.

This is a rare opportunity for a highly ambitious and commercially minded individual to join the well-established Internal Audit function. This position will allow for a recently or newly qualified accountant to join the business in a broad role and be exposed to multiple teams including; supply chain, sales, commercial, operations and core finance teams located in various countries.

The business actively seeks to further develop and promote its employees through programmes, and this particular opportunity will including travelling to attractive destinations such as New York and Singapore. The travelling element is planned in advance to accommodate for the potential successful candidates arrangements. Overall this opportunity would provide a strong foundation for a successful career in the lucrative FMCG environment.

Some responsibilities include:

• Act as a business partner across the organisation when engaging with non-finance teams, assisting with their queries and providing solutions
• Lead, coordinate and supervise internal audits both internally and externally
• Conduct risk analysis on projects
• Actively improve process and controls where appropriate
• Contribute to the development of risk management frameworks
• Participate in ad hoc projects
• Identify and recommend methods to improve effectiveness and efficiency across various functions

The Candidate

The position requires a confident individual with a strong interpersonal ability and the capability to adjust to various environments. It is essential that the individual will be a professionally qualified and likely that they will possess 0-1 post qualification experience. The qualification can be from any recognised professional body (i.e. CA, ACCA or ACMA) but must have some audit experience.

Remuneration

A salary of around £40,000 (depending on experience.
