Our client is an innovative business based in the Stirlingshire area who have a disruptive proposition in the marketplace. With a number of positive steps in recent years they are now in a position to capitalise on the market in which they operate.

With this positive news, a new position of Assistant Management Accountant has been created. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Prepare prepayments and accruals and ensure accurate reflection in the general ledger.
• Review overhead costs
• Maintain fixed assets register to ensure company assets are accurately reported and compliant.
• Prepare financials for submission to Hyperion.
• Calculate company tax/VAT accounts and liaise with external advisors to ensure accurate returns both internally and externally to agreed deadlines
• Calculation of quarterly tax provision
• Liaise with Head Office regarding payroll matters
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide financial knowledge and reporting of company projects
• Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Provide headcount/contractor information and reports to HR
• Provide payroll data for forecasts

Candidate requirements:

• (Part)/Qualified accountant
• Sound and up to date knowledge of UKGAAP and USGAAP
• Up to date knowledge of VAT and corporation tax
• Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion preferred but not essential

Salary : £30,000 - £35,000
