Rutherford Cross is partnering exclusively with this leading Glasgow FTSE 250 PLC to recruit a high potential individual into the newly created role of Treasury Analyst.

As part of a Group Treasury team of six people, the role will report to the Assistant Treasurer and have responsibility for assisting with the smooth & efficient running of the back-office operations within the Treasury department.  This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional keen to progress their treasury career in a corporate headquarters environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Day-to-day settlement of Treasury transactions and Treasury cash-pool reconciliations
• Assist with further development of the Treasury Management System (TMS) and other core Treasury systems to ensure system security and further efficiencies within the Treasury department
• Maintenance of static data within the TMS and other Treasury systems
• Maintenance of all documentation relating to Treasury dealing/bank mandates and inter-company loan agreements
• Assist with monthly management reporting requirements for the Treasury Risk Committee
• Assist Treasury team with the issuance & oversight of trade finance related transactions
• Develop understanding of front-office processes to provide support to the Treasury dealing function
• Assist the Treasury team with any Treasury/Finance projects as required

Experience and qualifications required:

• AMCT (Association of Corporate Treasurers) qualified/part-qualified or willingness to study towards qualification
• Practical finance/treasury experience essential
• Competent with Microsoft software packages (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
• Approachable, self-starter who takes pride in their work and has a diligent work ethic
• Experience of working with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and electronic banking platforms would be advantageous
