Rutherford Cross is working with a highly ambitious business, based in Glasgow city centre to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant.  The role offers the exposure to working on a number of high-profile joint ventures the company is engaged with.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant who has trained in practice and is looking for their first or second move after qualifying.  Strong technical skills are required for this position, as the business is keen to appoint an individual who has previously worked in audit and had also prepared statutory accounts. The successful candidate will oversee 2 part-qualified accountants tasked with preparing accounts for numerous funds.

Duties include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Producing annual statutory accounts for multiple entities
• Responsible for the production of VAT returns
• Taking ownership for preparing cash flow forecasts and annual budgets
• Producing investor reporting
• Produce variance analysis of spend vs budget with commentary
