Interim Head of Finance

Interim Head of Finance job with our public sector client based in Edinburgh for an initial 3-4 month period. Reporting to the Director of Finance you will be responsible for:

• Lead, manage and support a sizeable Finance team
• Support the preparation of, and review, the monthly management accounts for the organisation including income & expenditure and balance sheet accounts
• Ensure strong governance and controls through ongoing improvements of processes and procedures
• Managing the business and budget planning process
• Liaison with senior operational management regarding ongoing budgetary position
• Develop and maintain costing models
• Undertake project appraisals and financial aspects of business cases

To apply you will be a fully qualified Accountant and be an excellent leader with a track record of managing large teams previously. You will have a background of working in the public sector and also have first class communication skills. Start August 2017. Day Rate: equivalent £60,000 per annum.
