Temporary Accountant job an initial 3 months with our public sector client in Edinburgh. Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts including income & expenditure and balance sheet accounts
• Production of year end accounts incorporating GAAP and IFRS
• Lead on the annual budget setting process
• Monitoring of budgets, analysing variances and liaising with budget holders
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Fixed Asset reporting
• Support new Financial System implementation
• Managing of small finance team

To apply you will be a fully qualified Accountant with excellent stakeholder management skills. You will have experience of staff management previously.  You will ideally have experience across both Financial and Management accounting and a public sector background would be beneficial. Salary: £40,000 per annum.
