Description

Rutherford Cross are working with a Glasgow based client who are leaders in their market and are looking to add a Financial Controller to their Group Finance Function for a period of up to 12 months. This role will report into the Finance Director and will have responsibility for a small team. Main aspects of this role will include:

 

  • Managing all day to day accounting operations to ensure monthly reporting is compliant with Group policy
  • Preparing Group monthly management accounts with insight and analysis
  • Ensuring Group financial information is reported on time and accurately – budgets/forecasts/weekly/monthly results
  • Monitoring internal controls to SOX standards
  • Working capital projections and assisting the Finance Director with working capital improvements
  • Statutory reporting – ensuring compliance across the Group and required standards are met. Also acting as point of contact for internal and external auditors
  • Assisting with system improvement project

 

For this role it is essential you are a fully qualified accountant (CA/CIMA/ACCA) and ideally have manufacturing sector experience. Experience of SOX/US GAAP will be highly advantageous as well as previous experience of working on system improvements. It is important you are confident working to tight deadlines across a large organisation and are comfortable building relationships at all levels of an organisation.
