Rutherford Cross is working with a leading manufacturing business who are looking to add an interim Cost Accountant to their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading business and this contract role could also move to permanent for the right candidate. Cost Accounting is a key part of this role as well as Business Partnering. Main duties will include:

• Job costing including comparing actual with expected costs and investigating any variances
• Direct cost analysis including costs, recoveries and adjustments
• Processing and reporting on price variances and liasing with procurement team regarding any queries in this area
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Identifying process improvements
• Business partnering with Supply Chain/Procurement/Operations/Commercial Teams

This is a key role within the finance team and will require ideally a Qualified Accountant with previous experience in a manufacturing environment. A strong costing/management accounting background is essential as is the ability to manage high volume date effectively on Excel and produce accurate reporting.
