Right now our client is looking for an outstanding Financial Controller to join their team based at their Manchester Brewery on a 15 months fixed term contract basis.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain Finance, the key purpose of this role is to provide best in class finance business partner support and add value to the operational site leadership team and other senior Supply Chain stakeholders and their direct teams through insight, challenge and support.

To ensure financial rigour, governance and controls are in place and provide insight and analysis to support the site leadership team in delivering the Operational and Financial targets of the local business strategy and Western Europe Supply Chain strategy.  Responsibility for both fixed and variable costs for the site, and for co-pack and import costs.

This is a lead role in financial control, planning & analysis for site, including co-ordination of all key financial review and planning processes e.g.  Budgets, Monthly Reporting and Quarterly Reviews.  You will liaise closely with other production controllers to share best practice.

What skills and qualifications will I need?

• Qualified Accountant
• Graduate Preferable
• Relevant experience in financial controller role
• Excellent relationship builder
• Commercially astute with an ability to identify & shape opportunities / risks, influencing behaviour & decisions which have improved business results
• Track record of setting and delivering stretching cost saving targets
• Excellent Presentation skills
