Description
Rutherford Cross is delighted to have been engaged by a growing, Scottish, FMCG business based in Glasgow to appoint a newly created post for an Internal Auditor. Reporting directly to the Head of Audit, this role would suit either a newly qualified Auditor looking to make their first move away from the profession or an experienced Internal Auditor seeking a move into a commercial, entrepreneurial business.
The business has grown significantly over the past few years, this has been achieved by both acquisition and organic growth and as a direct result the organisation is looking to add head count into their Internal Audit function to support the changing requirements of the business. This role will see you build upon the existing framework and you will help to continue to embed an effective governance culture across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious auditor as you will have the opportunity to work with the senior leadership team to help to deliver a challenging audit plan that covers financial and operational reviews. You will lead audits and projects across the business that will enable you to focus on appraising risks, improving business processes/controls and identifying opportunities for improvement.
This role will focus on adding value to the business by providing assurance to the senior leadership team which in turn will support them to make decisions to continue to drive the business forwards. You will support the Head of Audit at Audit Committee meetings and will follow up on audit recommendations made to the business.
In order to be considered for this position you will be a qualified accountant or auditor (CA/ACA/ACCA/CIA/IIA) or equivalent and preferably will have a background leading either external or internal audits for large/complex corporate organisations. You will have a keen interest in FMCG and a passion for adding value.
Salary: £40,000
