Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnering with a leading, global drinks manufacture based in Edinburgh to recruit an experienced Credit Risk Manager into their growing Risk team. You will partner with the business and the front line sales force on a day to day basis on all credit related matters. Part of the role will be to constructively challenge credit proposals to ensure these comply with the business’ credit and commercial policies and processes. Additionally, complete all day to day Credit Risk team tasks within SLA’s and provide guidance and support to internal colleagues and external customers, Credit Controllers and Team Leaders to drive improvements in the quality of credit control and overall customer experience.

You will have technical lending and credit risk assessment skills and have experience assessing business plans including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts. You will have the ability to write concise credit proposals and recommendations to the Credit Committee and will have Fraud Awareness & Anti Money Laundering experience. You will have worked in an organisation which is fast paced, demanding and results-driven and will have sound communication skills including presenting summaries to senior management/Board level.

In order to be considered for this position you will have 3 years + experience in a commercial lending role managing a portfolio of SME trading businesses. You will have previous experience of working in a credit role, competently assessing complex financial statements including group / multiple entity structures. Previous experience of relationship management of key stakeholders in an external business environment is essential and you will have the ability to challenge constructively and negotiate effectively. Experience of influencing key internal stakeholders and external customers to achieve the best risk outcome is critical.

Working knowledge of ERP system (SAP & BW), Microsoft Office (excel, word & PowerPoint) is desirable.
